Brief: To create a Pignoletto design that clearly stood out from its competitors whilst clearly being presented as premium.
Solution: We designed the ‘king’ of Pignoletto’s, creating a label that quite literally radiates quality as well as easily grabbing consumers eyes.
The aim of this brief was to create a Pignoletto design that clearly stood out from its competitors, something bold that gave the appearance of quality.
The Pignoletto grape itself is considered the “king of the Colli Bolognese wine zone”. Due to this, we wanted to create something that stood out above the rest, using a black and gold colour scheme that shined bright.
For this, we created an ultra-geometric design that incorporated both classic and modern features. We split the label through the center and created a reversed effect with the pattern to achieve maximum contrast. This pattern is a burst of lines, intentionally created to draw the consumer’s eyes straight to the middle of the label. To reflect the ‘king’ element, a strip of this pattern, including the brand name, was wrapped about the black capsule like a crown.
As a result, this product has stood out from its competitors and performed exceedingly well through Laithwaite’s, with an abundance of 5 star reviews throughout.
