Our founder, Alex Owen, has worked in food & drink since he was 15. Starting off partnering with bars and hotels, he began learning the basics of what makes brands successful in this sphere.
For the last 7 years, Alex co-ran the highly successful marketing agency, The Armstrong Partnership.
Specialising in manufacturing clients – particularly across the food and drink supply chain – here Alex helped create memorable and award-winning branding and campaigns for brand owners. Serving multi-national glass bottle and container manufacturers, packaging experts, alcoholic and soft drink suppliers, specialist food makers and more.
It meant he got down with the people behind the products. Truly getting on the level of food & drinks brands and their owners. And he got the taste for more.
So, Alex created his own agency,

The perfect complement to Armstrong, with them excelling as a B2B agency, whereas Masters of Brands is solely B2C, his vision was to work alongside FMCG brands and offer his wealth of knowledge and experience to help them achieve more.
Building a small, but agile team which combine the best of both worlds – young in age, but experienced in branding and design – each person shares the love of beautiful design for brands, combined with an uncanny appreciation of what makes food & beverage consumers stop and purchase.
Today the Masters of Brands work with major wine, spirit and soft drink producers as well as food manufacturers, both in the UK and abroad.
Our designs are successfully prominent on the shelves of High Street retailers like Tesco and behind the bar at nationwide pub chains such as Greene King.
